It feels dated on day one, but Movies shines

I listened to the entire album twice and I just can’t get into it. There’s a feeling when I hear these songs like they’re dated to 2004 or something; I can’t describe it perfectly. It just sounds like something I’ve heard before, something when I was younger.

But then Movies plays and I’m instantly entrenched. The song is atmospheric in a way that makes you feel like you’re driving in your car on a hot summer night actually headed out to the movies. It’s euphoric for me and it’s the only song I bought. I love Scarlet as an actress and truly wanted to love this EP and buy the whole thing, but honestly, only that one song is superb.

Cigarillo!

Pete Yorn is one of my favorites! Cigarillo is an instant classic PY tune!
