Touches the Soul

Some of the most beautiful music ever written. The song Poeme brings forth every moment of sadness and longing that I have ever felt. It is exquisite. But there are so many songs on this album that can only be called perfect. Hymn to Hope, Sanctuary, Illumination all stir emotions in a way that no music has that I have ever heard. Being able to listen to this music every day is a blessing that I am so thankful for.

I have fallen in love with secret garden.

I LOVE Secret Garden. Let's just say I have 600 songs on my ipod. the song with the highest play count on my ipod is "Windancer." and I am in love with "Steps" and "Escape." Listening to Secret Garden I just feel as though I should be somewhere beautiful with the wind blowing thru my hair..the sun on my face with my eyes closed..and the bluest of seas swishing with sounds of waves.....If I have not made it clear...I LOVE Secret Garden. This album is phenomenal.

This album is beautiful. There is so much emotion and feeling in every song that it is easy to get carried off into the music.

About Secret Garden

The winners of the 1995 Eurovision Song Contest, Norwegian neo-classical duo Secret Garden formed in 1994 around Irish violinist Fionnuala Sherry and Norwegian pianist Rolf Løvland, the co-writer of Norway's 1985 Eurovision victor "La Det Swingge." Secret Garden's own Eurovision victory was notable as the first (and, so far, only) time a predominantly instrumental song has won the competition -- the contributions of guest vocalist Gunnhild Tvinnereim were clearly written to ensure the piece met with Eurovision's rules. Songs from a Secret Garden, the duo's debut album, was released later in 1995 and became a major hit around the world, as well as supplying Barbra Streisand with the hit "I've Dreamed of You," adapted from Secret Garden's "Heartstrings." Secret Garden also originated Josh Groban's "You Raise Me Up." Subsequent Secret Garden albums include White Stones (1997),Fairytales (1998), Dawn of a New Century (1999), Dreamcatcher (2001), Once in a Red Moon (2002), and Earthsongs (2005). A best-of, also titled Dreamcatcher, appeared in 2004. ~ Dave Thompson
