EDITORS’ NOTES

Fans of Lenny Kravitz and his arguably best album—his third, Are You Gonna Go My Way—are treated to a look behind the finished product with this remastered and expanded edition. Twenty bonus tracks are added to the official album, including 10 previously unreleased recordings from Kravitz’s personal archive. Seven b-sides are conveniently included, and the acoustic versions of “Believe,” “Sister," and “Heaven Help” are intimate portraits. But it’s the "Works in Progress" demos and outtakes of “Work Like the Devil,” “Getting Out,” “Good Lovin’," and “Early Morning Blues”—along with Vanessa Paradis demos of “I May Not Be a Star” and “Lonely Rainbows”—that give the feeling that we’re being dropped behind the celebrity gates to hear the musician in his rawest state. A 15-minute Kravitz interview with the BBC puts the album into the artist’s perspective.

It is possible to fall in love all over again

I remember where I was. I remember that time in my life when "Are You Gonna Go My Way" came out 20 years ago. Every single song played to so many key, pivotal moments I was living. 20 years later, I'm beautifully reliving those memories and finding new love as well.
This unreleased music is a treasure trove for Lenny fans! I'm loving every second of this and look forward to listening my heart out for the days, weeks, months, years ahead!
Beautifully done, Lenny! Love you so!!
Mathieu Bitton, keep on sharing your amazing visions, you are a gift!!
