When you hear the name Claude debussy, the last thing you think of is song, but after hearing his songs it will definitely not be the last thing you think of. I love these songs they give me chills. Ms. Upshaw does an excellent job at first i didnt like her but then i listened to it again and wow i heard her true voice and expression. I highly recommend these songs especially musique.


Broadway Dawn skates by on this one. She has the wrong voice for these works. Levine shines on the piano making the listener wonder why he hasn't recorded more on the instrument. -Bz

Soprano Dawn Upshaw was born July 17, 1960; she first rose to prominence in 1984 after winning the Young Concert Artists International Auditions, and was soon invited to join the studio of the Metropolitan Opera.
