He's Done It Again!

For those who have been following the career of Robb Benson for some time and deepened their love for his catalogue, "As The Building Crumbles" only furthers this feeling.

Joined by his band The Glass Notes, Benson explores a fresh approach to melodies as he soars throughout his impressive vocal range over a group of players who are so in-the-pocket that they become the envy of any group trying to establish a soulful groove. Then you catch the lyrics, written by bassist Jake Uitti, and realize that there's a ton of inspiring poetry waiting to be fully discovered.

After the first three songs explode on the album, my personal favorite, "1st Record" lands in with a cozy, rock feel that reminds you of "With a Little Help From My Friends."

The full expression of this album is not to be missed. In other words, listen to it straight through. Pull the blinds and dance your face off with the track "Glass Notes" and lay down to absorb the final song. Then, find out where you can hear these guys live.

Simply great!

When I first heard 'Detectives' I was floored. So fresh yet so warm at the same times. What a bridge on that song!
This music doesn't try to pretend to be anything other than what it is, a straight forward record that makes you move, laugh and cry at the same time.

In awe

This band, both live and on recordings, is stellar. They make me want to go grab my guitar, and aim higher as a songwriter. Go Glass Notes, Go!
