Good CD

This is a good album, and in many ways it sounds very much like "something wicked, Dark Saga etc...." by Iced Earth. Same singer, so it should sound similar, but the music is very similar to early Iced Earth. Very thrashy with some melody mixed in for good measure. The musicianship is very good, which is no surprise given the pedigree of the members. The production is decent but not great, and could use a little more low end power. The only complaint I have is that the vocals get a little too high at some points, and border on bombastic. Other than that, Matt Barlow's vocals are great. If you like earlier Iced Earth albums, this one should appeal to you.
