Folk That Swings

Odetta takes "folk" music to a new place with the addition of an acoustic bass( the swingin' Bill Lee), her sensitive guitar work and her powerful phrasing. Yes, the songs are classics, but Odetta breathes soul into them with her musicianship. Subtle genius at work.

By the time she was six years old, she had moved with her younger sister and mother to Los Angeles.
