This is a great compilation of last spring and summer's webcast show IN THE ATTIC that was hosted by Rachel Fuller featuring Pete Townshend. Ms. Fuller followed THE WHO's European tour last summer with an Airstream trailer video studio and invited other guest artists to appear. This is an audio "best of" of that show. The result is a nice audio survey of Contemporary Pop/Rock music. The stand out cuts are Fuller, Cuthbert, The Raconteurs, Regina Spektor, Martha Wainwright, The Zutons, and Death Cab for Cutie. ACTUALLY they all are quite good and it's hard to pull out a favorite. Yet the minor key version of Baba O'Riley by The Flaming Lips is hard to top for an original take on a Rock Classic. This informal interview/performance show is a brilliant idea, and I hope is only the start of more good things to come.

Lovely! Just, Lovely

Not just for Pete Townshend fans. I could not find a single song on this album that I didn't like! Every thing is unplugged and charming. The way music should be heard. Intimate and personal!

A Special Treat

This is a great collection of informal performances from the In The Attic webcasts hosted by Rachel Fuller in conjunction with The Who's recent tour. Along for the ride are her friend, Mikey Cuthbert, Pete Townshend and his brother Simon. As a long-time Townshend fan, I've enjoyed the Attic shows, broadcast from an Airstream trailer with a lot of spirt and fun. Fuller is a bright, positive personality. Goofy at times and likeable. She' also a talented performer in her own right. Townshend doesn't dominate and it's nice to hear him play solo acoustic. He also joins in with the younger guests on the show. Foy Vance especially is a talent. All in all, these are good folks playing great music.
