Album Review

Disa keeps the hits coming with this 20-track monster collection by the Sinaloan large group La Arrolladora Banda El Limón De René Camacho, who have been together in one form or another since 1996. After making their independent recording debut in 1997 — though this set only covers their Disa years. Ultimately, it's with Disa that they became famous and with which they've had their biggest hits. Most of them are included here: "Me Dejaste Acostumbrado," "El Ruido de Tus Zapatos," the lovely ballad "Mi Segunda Vida," with its rich horn arrangement, "Sobre Mis Pies," "Ya No Te Buscaré," "Irreversible" (a laid-back cumbia), and "Media Naranja" (a more uptempo one), with lots of stops between. To be truthful, despite several other hits sets by this group, this may be the one that goes deepest into their catalog and covers the most ground, making it recommended listening for fans and newcomers alike.
