6 Songs, 35 Minutes

EDITORS’ NOTES

The first part of a two-part concept record, Automata I sees prog dervishes Between the Buried and Me weaving a futuristic tale about dreams broadcast for mass entertainment. The acoustic intro and soaring keyboard flourishes of “Condemned to the Gallows” explode across the stereo field into a dizzying series of guitar workouts peppered with both clean and harsh vocals. Meanwhile, “House Organ,” “Millions,” and sprawling closer “Blot” fuse breezy melodic passages with angular, atonal riffs and a captivating array of musical ideas.

Parental Advisory: Explicit Lyrics.

Automata is two parts delivered a few months apart. As always you have to give it several listens, but this is history in the making. BTBAM are at the pinnacle of their music writing capabilities and the proof is in the pudding. The Proverbial Bellow and Yellow Eyes are almost perfection. Don’t miss this album!

Pure Talent.🔥

Every release these guys put out is pure excellence. Track 1-6 are all amazing and I would totally recommend this album for anyone who like experimental metal or just Prog/Djent stuff.
