The Clay People Deserves A Lot More Popularity Than They Have

The Clay People is, flat-out, industrial metal with melodic vocals.

If you're a constant Internet surfer, then you probably know the song "Awake" already, which has infamously been dubbed as a compilation of Slipknot, Disturbed, and Static-X. I like all those bands, but they sound NOTHING like this, even together. No, idiots. This is THE CLAY PEOPLE.

If I were to choose three songs to buy, and only three, I would probably choose "Awake", "Plug" (REALLY catchy at the beginning), and "Fade Away", which, to me, seems almost like the radio-gimme of the album. Unfortunately, The Clay People have stayed underground even today, which is sad for a band that should get just as much attention as Slipknot, in my opinion.

Industrial Metal fans, you won't be disappointed. Trust me.

The Clay People are one of the most under-rated bands out there. They have several cd's but only the self-titled can be bought here. I say you buy what you can on Itunes and then go and find the other disks to buy, used, online. You will not be sorry, they are one of my favorite bands and I own all of there music! So if you like industrial rock & metal do yourself a favor and go get 'em!

Excellent album!

I had the pleasure of seeing the Clay People live about 10 years ago. Loved it. I love this album especially.

Although many different members have passed through their ranks throughout the years, two constant members have been vocalist Dan Neet and guitarist Dan McGarvey. Over the course of five albums, the band has evolved from a sequencer-based band to a more conventionally rock-based one, but without sacrificing any of their heavy, aggressive techno sound. Settling on a lineup that consists of Neet and McGarvey...
