Aziatix has touched my life in a way that I can hardly describe as anything short of a miracle. Coming from a mixed background the group displays heavy Korean influences, a definite plus for a Kpop fan like myself. When I saw they were putting out a new album I practically stalked the group daily waiting for each single to come out. I've decided to rate this album by each song, so please bare with me.
1) Speed of Light-
The song is a perfect balance of strong lyrics both sung and rapped. I have always enjoyed this groups mix of the two and this song practically embodies Aziatix and what they stand for. Inspirational lyrics captivate the listener easily with the understanding that these guys indeed know what it's like to go through life and hardships, easily relatable. For me personally this song has gotten me through a very difficult time with losing a loved one, I recommend it highly for anyone who is struggling or ever struggled. Empowerment is an incredibly successful way of gaining attention from listeners and this song definitely does just that. After listening I feel stronger and soothed, both by the beautiful vocals and lovely synth/pop beats. One of my favorite songs not just by Aziatix, but of all time.
Continuing the empowering theme of their album, Aziatix hits hard with this song which unsurprisingly repeats the line "it's gonna be alright". First of all I absolutely LOVE the inclusion of snippets from "Somebody's Watching Me", simply brilliant. The song is very humane and down to earth, easily giving the listener something to relate to. It's also very easy to pick up, I found myself able to sing along after just the first chorus break. Flowsik delivers powerful lines in this song, which through a more thorough analysis are quite deep. I love the way Aziatix manages to deliver a positive message to their audience through music despite the seriousness or harshness of the reality which they're singing about. "I'm glad that I'm alive", such a simple line but with so much meaning behind it. I can not express my gratitude with being able to listen to catchy songs that POSITIVELY affect the listener. In my personal opinion everyone should listen to this song at least once and really think about the lyrics, especially people going through a hard time. Aziatix said it best, everything's gonna be alright!
FINALLY someone has addressed the repetitiveness of songs on the radio! I was beginning to wonder if I was the only one becoming annoyed with the same old sex and drugs songs dumbing down our senses. This song is RAW! Kudos to Flowsik whom always says it like it is. I love how real and honest the song is, claiming irritation with hearing the same old songs (if you can call them songs -.-). There is such a positive energy radiating from this song you can't help but nod along and mumble bits of the song along with Flowsik. Loving the throw-back inspired beat, taking me back to a time when songs on the radio were actually GOOD. Not sure if it was intentional or not (though I'm sure it was) but the beat in the background definitely brings a reminiscing vibe to your ears. "Whitney said it best, all the greats go first", DEEP line right here. I've replayed this song several times and embedded the lyrics into my head, because it is definitely about more than the same old same old!
4) If I saw you again
Going back to more of a ballad-pop feel (similar to Slipping Away) the song boasts bone chilling vocals and of course crisp raps from Flowsik. The song's lyrics are very honest, something most artists can't seem to express. I love the openness of this song and the notion of being able to feel their feelings through the words. Upbeat background synth keeps your head bobbing along as your thoughts are taken away completely by the smoothness of the song. I absolutely love the concept within the lyrics as this song personally has arrived at a great time for me. Despite the longing sense of wanting something to be the same again there is still the ever present feeling of empowerment within the song. Very impressed!
I could tell just by the title of this song that it would be good but I was definitely blown away. The song goes through the idea of dreams and getting past that which society claims you can not. There is an overcoming vibe to the song, letting the listener know that it's alright even when you go through hard times as long as you keep trying. There is such a real feeling to this song, tearing at the strings of my heart and forever repeating this song within my veins. "This is history in the making" repeats during the chorus, prompting the listener to sing along with a smile. The confidence this song instills is simply incredible and I'm hard pressed to name another song that makes me feel more powerful or more aware than this song right here. If you asked me to name my top ten songs, this song would certainly fall on that list. Aziatix is pushing the idea of faith and confidence, daring listeners to believe in themselves and see results. I am just absolutely blown away by this song and I wish there was a way for me to personally thank Aziatix for making such an incredible song, because it pretty much just changed my life.
This is one of my favorite Aziatix songs if for no other reason than the energy and hype they seem to have while singing the song. I love the vibrations from the speaker when this song blares out almost as much as I love the actual song. Most fans probably have already heard this song but if you haven't you'll be impressed. The song leans on Aziatix's usual rap/sing combo, illuminating strong lyrics with a very pop/r&b inspired beat. Unsurprisingly the song is VERY uplifting.
Overall the album leaves the desired affect of uplifting and inspiring people through music, a goal rarely achieved though often desired. Aziatix is one of my favorite groups and I will certainly be sharing this album with everyone I know!
Genuine, Feel Good Music!
It is so, so refreshing to hear a rap song without any cussing or the typical sex, money, etc. slander caked/crammed into it. For music to feel this real and genuine is just amazing. These three men have combined R&B/Hip-Hop/Pop into a way that is reminiscent of when music used to be wholesome and meaningful. If you're looking for a feel good album that will motivate you and uplift your spirits, well look no further because this is as good as it gets! Personally, I loved the 'I always feel like somebody's watching me.' in the song 'Alright', it was just perfect because of how it's known universally and to hear it pop up in this song was epic! Then the Whitney mention in 'Radio' and just the song 'Radio' in general is an accurate description of the music you hear on the radio today, amen. Thank you Aziatix!!
Awakening - An album that truly shines
When I first heard "Speed of Light," I was completely blown away by the beautiful melody and powerful lyrics. Some people may think that this couldn't get any better. However, I knew that Aziatix had more surprises in store for us. Then I heard a teaser for "Alright" and I couldn't wait to hear the whole album. After weeks of waiting, Aziatix proved once again that they always have something bigger and better. Every single song had me going on an emotional rollercoaster ride. I am so proud of these three talented young men. Their music is our hope and light in this dark world. You will never regret buying their album. I guarantee it! We love you Eddie, Nicky, and Flowsik!! "If I saw you again" is currently my favorite song on the album.
