Album Review

Countdown Kids' 30 Toddler Songs contains chipper arrangements of tunes familiar to every family: “The Wheels on the Bus Go Round and Round,” “Polly Wolly Doodle,” “Pop Goes the Weasel,” “The Itsy Bitsy Spider,” and “Row Row Row Your Boat.” This isn’t made for listening, it’s made for parents and their to sing along with it.

Brilliant for tiny ones

I bought this on itunes without really shopping's excellent, my one year old dances around the living room like I have never seen. When I play versions I think sound better she isn't impressed. Kids like hearing kids sing. Buy this! It includes all the classics, although the version of the wheels on the bus is way to quick.

Not a big fan

This is a nice collection of songs, but I personally don't like to listen to kid's singing. It's annoying. I much prefer to hear adults sing kid's songs- like Raffi or Lauri Berkner. If you don't mind singing kids- you'll probably like this a lot more than I did.

Don't fret about the singing

So you probably get the idea that a lot of people don't like the nasally sounding kids who sing the songs. It's not for us!! AC/DC sung by little kids is NOT a good idea. Fuzzy Wuzzy sung by little kids (or professional singers who sound like little kids) is a great idea. Because the songs are aimed at 2-5 year olds. Don't judge this album on the singing. Judge it on the way it grabs your kids attention. The songs are all standards in the toddler repetoire. Not much new there. But most kids love it. So don't worry about the vocals. It's kids singing for kids. I recommend it. (I am a musician and a father of a 2 year old, who loves ALL the songs).
