Patrice Pike - Live and better than ever

A sexy and soulful album from Austin singer songwriter Patrice Pike. Pike's voice is strong and earnest. She draws you in with the lively "Mystery Girl" and then breaks your heart with "Push me Over". The achingly beautiful "I Used to Hold You" may be Pike's best work to date. "Patrice Pike: Live and then some" is all that and a whole lot more - a well crafted, beautiful effort.

Another SUPERB recording from Patrice Pike

I’ve never been a huge fan of live albums because the quality of the performance or the recording or both often doesn’t stand up to studio albums. For bands that give a phenomenal live performance, live recordings also may disappoint because they fail to fully capture the energy of the show.

I don’t know how Patrice Pike did it, but this latest release, which is a live recording, is absolutely perfect! The songs are performed brilliantly and the energy of the live performance is truly captivating. This album is a must-have for Patrice Pike fans and for those who are unfamiliar with her music, it is a wonderful place to start. The songs selected for this release are some of the finest of her career. The band plays absolutely beautifully. This is my new favorite album!!

That was sweet.

I'm lovin' the chill jazz club vibe of this recording. And then it launches into overdrive with Guilty Sin. This is my new summer soundtrack.. Highly recommended.....

Pike went on to establish a new band, Black Box Rebellion. She also hyphenated her name to Pike-Zain, in honor of her former band. "Zain" is the...
