EDITORS’ NOTES

Hailing from the California's Central Valley, Fashawn dropped his first mixtape in 2006 and was taken on the road by fellow Fresno artist Planet Asia. He continued building his rep through well-received street albums like The Phenom, Higher Learning, and OneShotOneKill and wowed audiences while opening for the likes of Ghostface and The Grouch. In 2009 he unleashed his much-loved debut—the Exile-produced Boy Meets World—plus a collaboration with The Alchemist called The Antidote. An undeniably skilled lyricist with a knack for blending soul-searching autobiographical tales with his patented Grizzly City swagger, he's among the brightest of today's young stars. Following another exceptional collabo in 2012—This Generation with Murs—Fashawn now returns with this mixtape to hold fans over until the release of The Ecology. Check out the anti-gang anthem "Colorblind," the meditation on fame and fortune "Stardumb," and the melancholy sax-and-piano joint "Dark Cloud."
