An Amazing Gift to those who love music
The album is amazing! "Why the King of Love is Dead" is an incredible piece of both history and songwriting. Ms. Simone sings it with such feeling that way MUST be moved, we Must think and we MUST consider what is our job, our role, in making things better. The best part of the "album" is the video. I grew up with Ms. Simone playing at home. My mother was a fan of hers. I've been moved by her music, her voice - but seeing the flash in her eyes on the video as she talked about the meaning of "Strange Fruit" was so arresting that I thought I was watching Angela Davis! Nina Simone is incredible!
