Unprecedented - Brilliant on many levels
The composite “backtrace” of Mr. Dempsey’s creations is an unparalleled masterwork we have long been waiting for. Dempsey is a clever musical mimic, a brilliant educator, and one of the truly rare geek troubadours history has produced (e.g. Tom Lehrer). His technical insights are not only spot on, they are perfectly distilled summaries regardless of the fact that they are eminently singable mnemonic devices. Every Apple developer should own this recording. I wear my “Liki Song” t-shirt with pride and THINK about it’s meaning all the while. Bravo! I shall listen on “infinite loop."

James Dempsey and the Breakpoints roar out with their core out on their long-awaited first album, Backtrace. From the hard-driving opener 'Modelin' Man' through the sweet mello harmonies of 'The Liki Song (Greybeard Mix)' encore, J.D. and the B.P.'s deliver an eclectic array of new grooves and fond memories of their WWDC and WWDC-adjacent performances. Simply a must-have for anyone who bleeds Apple.
The whole album is worth a listen, but my personal favorites are 'Modelin' Man', 'The Designated Initializer', "The Liki Song', and 'Endian Reservations.' Oh, and 'I Love View', too, James Dempsey and the Breakpoints!
Schoolhouse Rock for developers
I've been looking forward to this for a while and I now that it's out, I am loving it. It's not only funny and musically interesting, it also fixes memory leaks in your code if you listen to it while debugging.
