Don’t tell him about the dog...

In “Bad Comedy for Bad People,” no potatoes are harmed. In a nutshell, if you like to see sacred cows ground into hamburger meat and thrown on a grill, Ketih Lowell Jensen is your Atheist Comic man. Do not watch this if you are not prepared to laugh about sex, politics, religion, and the joys of parenting in the modern world. From within a simple ring of stanchions and velvet rope, Jensen delivers honest and biting stories aimed at the heart of the farces we live through today.

Picture the scene: it’s the middle of the afternoon, the lights are on, and you’re sober. Misshapen bananas litter the ground, and Jehovah’s Witnesses are knocking at the door. Your blind friend is laughing at the blood you have all over you, and your little girl cannot stop talking about all the dragons she’s trained and then starts necromancing frogs. I wish I could telepathically communicate the whole thing to you, but I think that would seriously creep Keith out. Let’s just say that you would need tongues on the bottom of your feet to understand.

Prepare yourself for the great beyond: I mean death, not this show, but hey, it’ll help. You should have this in your library--hell, you should invite Keith to your next party. He’s the kind of person who is totally ok with housing and feeding people, and he understands a lot more about American democracy than his continuation high school teachers ever wanted him to. Make sure to break out the Banzai trees and the model railroad if you really want to set the mood. And aspirin: you’re going to want one after this, in a good way.

In all seriousness, “Bad Comedy for Bad People” will make you yearn for the halcyon days of your youth, when everything was analog… including sex. I am not sorry to say it: this show is more fun than a church lock-in. Definitely check it out. Just think of me when you do it.

Hilarious and Relevant

I love his stories about his daughter. I also love hearing about his high school years. It’s funny and listenable.

KLJ's Best Yet!

Keith really takes his storytelling to another level with this album. Incredibly tender and savagely funny.
