RIP Cornell😰

Cornell is one the best if not the best singer of all time and this album was Soundgarden's finest! RIP Chris you will be missed

Seriously metal

Like the mighty AIC, Soundgarden has always been a metal band at heart. Growing up listening to Sabbath, Maiden, Dio, and Priest, I never had any problem transitioning to Soundgarden; as a metter of fact, discovering Loud Love when it came out in the late 80s (I lived a long, long, long way from the 'Seattle Scene') I recognized in CC's vocals the godlike cry of a metal behemoth, full fo anger, hope, fear, and dripping with power. And even as the grunge curtain fell over the land and we metalheads went underground (or across the water to Europe, where the metal flag never ceased to fly high), Soundgarden still spoke our language - or screamed it, albeit in a slightly different dialect. You never got that with *ahem* Nirvana (I graduated high school in 1990, they're supposed to be the voice of my generation, but I never got it and still don't; I jst kept right on listening to Ronnie James) or with PJ (though if you want heavy groove rock, they'll give it to you, full respect). Soundgarden cried into the void, and our hearts cried back.

Bring back 90's grunge!

It saddens me to hear of the passing of Chris Cornell this morning. Seems like all the greats from a time when music was probably the most profound and epic of any generation claims another great. RIP :(
