More music for the road

Good raw harmonic dread and rhythmic strumming matches the yearning context throughout this and all the Calexico recordings I've heard; a little less refined, more coarse in this album, just about perfect if you ask me. For a studio recording this music is about as suitable a roadhouse band fake as you could buy, and evokes the sense of being far from the bright lights perfectly. I'd think Kerouac (a la Sal Paradise) in another dimension somewhere is listening to this music, drumming his fingers on the steering wheel in approval.
