Editors’ Notes

Lady Antebellum’s 2014 album takes an all-for-one approach that still allows plenty of space for individual members to have moments in the spotlight. Lead singers Charles Kelley and Hillary Scott each put their own sonic stamp on the proceedings, but they're never stronger than when they lay into signature harmonies with Dave Haywood. While 747 boasts plenty of the dramatic ballads that are Lady Antebellum's specialty, the multi-platinum country trio refuse to be boxed in. They soar through the melodic rocker "Long Stretch of Love," the R&B-inflected No. 1 hit "Bartender," and the swampy, Southern rock stomper "Freestyle" with all the upward momentum that the album's title suggests.

Great Songwriters, but...

Golden was a flop - The need to go back to songs like Love Don't Live Here, American Honey, Perfect Day and Emily. They are moving too far into the pop genre. There are a lot of Country artists that are suddenly no longer Country. Country music fans may be loyal, but don't take us for granted.

Great Song!

"Bartender" has a bit of a pop feel, I like it a lot. I don't lilke a lot of country music, but Lady Antebellum's music is very diverse and is appealing to non-country audiences. Their collaborations over the last couple years with Stevie Nicks (one of my favorite artists) have also helped shape my feeling for this band. Great song ... I am excited to hear the rest of the album.

This album is so beautiful and very well written, I could tell in Own The Night and Golden they went through heartbreak and had a lot of songs about intense heartbreaking feelings and emotions, which was amazing I absolutely love their previous albums but this album, 747 is very different, still has that beautiful Lady A country sound and feel, just in a different melody and vibe and it's beautiful, I already have many favorites on this album, definitely 100% a must buy if you're a Lady A fan. I'm very impressed, this album was truly worth the wait, I love 747. 💚☺️😁

Lady Antebellum blend contemporary country with soulful '60s R&B into an infectious brew that relies on the trio's rich harmonies and impeccable instrumental skills. The trio was formed in 2006 by Charles Kelley (brother of singer/songwriter Josh Kelley), Hillary Scott (daughter of Grammy-winning country artist Linda Davis), and Dave Haywood, and soon graduated from dive bars to the Grand Ole Opry. Their 2009 single "Need You Now" became the first of many hits to reach not just the country Top Ten...
