Literally the worst cover I've ever heard

And John Mayer once covered Tom Petty's Free Falling so that's saying something. They could not have picked a worse arrangement for one of the best pop-punk songs of all time. Truly terrible.

Green Day fans: relax!

A lot of negative reviews from Green Day fans and people with such inspired insight as "No. Just no."

Let's put this in context for a minute, shall we? This is a song featured in an offbeat, campy TV show about a superhero tick. Using that framework, the person that thought up covering this song and juxtaposing the angsty, troubled lyrics against an overly orchestrated, peppy backdrop is an inspired genius.

The choice for orchestral instruments over the original rock sound showcases the singer's voice more and sounds great!
