Like I said with the other...

I don't think these are even the real artists. I would suggest comparing these song to the actual song IN the anime. I mean yes, finally anime songs! But, it's just no... These are other people singing the same song, compare Kokoro No Chizu here to the same song in One Piece opening 5, then you know what I mean. Some of these songs in these albums are really close for example Kagerou from xxxHolic pretty much sounds the same, which is the only one that I have heard so far that actually sounds pretty exact.

anime freak

i don't like these versions. ok, there are a few that actually sound pretty good. and as an uber huge anime fan i just can't refuse songs from my favorite anime.

Not even close to the real thing

I've gone to great lengths to honor the folks that make these songs by buying legal copies of their music. The Japan Animesong Collection is a TERRIBLE substitute for these songs when compared to the performances by the original artist. For instance, the version of Houki Boshi (ほうき星) offered here is definitely NOT the same version performed by Youna (ユンナ) for the anime series Bleach.

HOWEVER, don't 'hate' on iTunes for offering what they can get. They do have originals by Ayumi Hamasaki (浜崎あゆみ), BoA, Do As Infinity, hitomi, and others. They also have great music from Ai Otsuka (大塚愛), Morning Musume (モーニング娘。), and others that's worth checking out if you're into Japanese Pop.

Rather, than taking your frustration out on iTunes (they are a store, who sells only what they can supply). SUPPORT iTunes by purchasing legal J-Pop that's available here, submit requests for what isn't here, and get legal copies of the songs you can't wait for from reputable sources.
