EDITORS’ NOTES
It’s nice to hear a band having fun. And on their debut album, Joe Jonas, Jack Lawless, JinJoo Lee, and Cole Whittle are having several spring breaks' worth. “Body Moves” and “Cake by the Ocean” lay down the blueprint: hedonism anthems powered by dangerously moreish pop choruses and elastic disco funk basslines. There’s ample space for Jonas to flex his Sensitive Bro muscles, too. The aching “Almost” and “Truthfully” showcase a band with real—and perhaps surprising—layers.
