Reseña de álbum

On the third volume of his live reissue series, after devoting Volume 2 to a single concert, Frank Zappa returned to his policy of mixing times, bands, and repertoire from throughout his career from one track to the next. The first disc, however, is drawn entirely from Zappa's 1984 tour, which gives it more musical coherence than the second disc, which ranges from 1971 to 1984. Many familiar tunes are featured, notably a 24-and-a-half-minute version of "King Kong" that is edited from performances in 1982 and 1971, and there are several previously unreleased compositions.

Just Keeps getting better

Although I think that Vol. 2 (The Helsinki Concert) is the best of the YCDTOSA series, this is up there. It is such a joy to see Zappa and the amazing musicians he played with on iTunes now. Maybe now people who never heard Frank or just heard the hype behind him, will know what everyone is talking about. The man is an absolute genius and the proof is in the music. If you never listen to Frank before, just dive on in and enjoy the splendors his genius. Arf.

As if his music were...
