This is the comic's comic...

Doug Stanhope is really setting the bar as to what a comic shoud be. He is more than edgy, disgusting, and vial. It would be easy to lable him as those things. What he really is doing is slapping you in the face with his brutal honesty and holding nothing back. He is exposing some of the deepest, darkest parts of human tribulations while at the same time being funny doing it. His job is to make you feel horribly uncomfortable while and same time looking inward about your own insecurities and what we all want to say but are too scared to do so. His best piece of work yet. Bravo, Doug!!!

Stanhope reigns supreme

Stanhope's latest release is one of his best. He continues to release album after album of the most brutal, side stabbingly funny stuff. I give it 5 pink ribbons.

Stanhope: A Return to Amazing

This material, (and the perfect amount of drunk delivery) will remind you of why fell in love with Doug's point of view in the first place.
Oslo was mediocre. Before Turning the Gun was really good. And now Stanhope has managed to get back to Amazing. Loved his delivery and especially his story on Mother passing. Hilarious.
IT's Classic Stanhope. Him talking about doing nothing and watching bad TV is just as thrilling as his unique take on politics. This is Stanhope at his best. Go see him live. Buy this album. Kill yourself. (buy this album first, though. Amen.

In 1997, he was selling his ACID Bootleg album at shows; a year later he released his...
