iTunes Review

The iTunes LP for 50 Cent's Before I Self Destruct comes with the full-length Before I Self Destruct feature film (Rated R), produced and acted by 50 Cent, along with an iTunes-exclusive interview with the rapper.

50 Cent claims Before I Self Destruct is better than Get Rich or Die Trying and who are we to argue. Fiddy is in beast mode, tearing up the competition with a hunger unseen since his 2003 debut. Tracks like “Death to My Enemies,” “Psycho” (with Eminem), and “OK, You’re Right” are bigger, more aggressive, and more focused. Before I Self Destruct also comes with the bonus tracks “Flight 187” and “Baby By Me” (with Jovan Dais).

Great! Top 5 of '09!

One of the top 5 rap albums of 09 along with The Blueprint 3, Relapse, Man on the Moon, and Loso's Way.

One Of The Best Rap Albums This Year Without A Doubt!!!

50 Cent is Back in Full Form

Remember in 2007 when he dropped that little album Curtis. And it was a disappointment. Yea well Before I Self Destruct does none of this. 50 is back finally. Where has he been I am not sure but he sounds hungry

50s said this will be his best album, better than GRoDT and The Massacre. No one believed him. I do now. This album shows 50 at his most lyrical. I Got Swag got 50 bragging but he brings it lyrically. Psycho with Em shows 50 keeping his own with one of the greatest.

My favorite track has to be So Disrespectful where he goes in on Game and Buck. I have never heard 50 go in on someone this hard since Back Down. He gets personal with Game and just blantanly laughed at Buck for his drug use. He is really disrespectful.

50 seems vulnerable. He shows it on Do You Really Think About Me, Then Days went by, Strong Enough, etc. He also has those concept songs such as in Hold Me Down, and Strech. 50 dropped the best commercial album of 2009. He really impressed me. Good job 50

Score - 9/10

Though he would later struggle with the nature of his fame as well as market expectations, 50 Cent endured substantial obstacles throughout his young yet remarkably dramatic life before becoming the most discussed figure in rap, if not pop music in general, circa 2003. Following an unsuccessful late-'90s run at mainstream success (foiled by an attempt on his life in 2000) and a successful run on the New York mixtape circuit (driven by his early-2000s bout with Ja Rule), Eminem signed 50 Cent to a...
