Speechless and enamored

This had to be the greatest instrumental album I HAD EVER PURCHASED. I appreciate the craft and distinction to quality My Epic has released. I'm a painter. The timelessness and memorable honesty I strive to go for in my own work I hear so distinctly (especially) in music of Behold. From all the instrumental music I have found, I think this album is the biggest find. Thank you My Epic!

Perfection <3

When I heard Facedown was releasing an instrumental version of this album, I wasn't impressed. My Epic has such amazing and powerful lyrics and vocals, I couldn't imagine listening to an instrumental version of their album. Then I listened to it.

This is topshelf post-rock. I never got such a vibe from the standard version, but these instrumentals have enough layers, tones, and emotions to compete with the best work from Explosions, This Will Destroy You, Sigur Ros (which is actually some of the members' favorite band), etc. The crushingly heavy moments that pop up (see the end of Hail, beginning of Royal) seem to be magnified in intensity to the point where you feel your soul caving in, only to be soothed and entranced in the next moment. Very seldom do I use to word perfection in describing music, but in this case, I believe My Epic have earned it.

P.S. KARAOKE TIME.

Instruments that have voice

After hearing Behold when I saw that an instrumental version of the album was produced, I didn't hesitate to listen to it. The melodies My Epic has woven through this album really come to life in this instrumental album - almost with a voice of their own. Arrive gains a powerful depth to it. Hail and Royal have an ebb and flow of power and peace. Selah becomes quietly brooding and determined. Lament bursts through the speakers at times with its namesake. The honesty of Confession and longing of Zion are felt in their rawest forms. This is a beautiful instrumental album. I highly recommend it.
