iTunes Review

Audio Adrenaline’s eighth studio album, Until My Heart Caves In, was supposed to be its last. Released in 2005, it was followed by 2007’s Live from Hawaii: The Farewell Concert—which announced the band’s dissolution in the title. Forward to 2013, and it’s apparent that original bassist Will McGinniss and founding member/songwriter/backing singer Mark Stuart weren’t ready to call it quits. They rekindled the group's fire with new frontman Kevin Max (dc Talk) before recruiting CCM stalwarts Jared Byers (Bleach) and Dave Ghazarian (Superchick). The equally catchy and groovy “He Moves You Move” opens 2013’s Kings & Queens sounding like classic Audio Adrenaline, albeit with a new life and energy. The tailing title track overflows with a soaring, anthemic chorus and the rich textures of orchestral accompaniment. Despite a funk-pop tune called “King of the Comebacks,” don’t mistake this album for a career comeback or some kind of ego vehicle. Kings & Queens was recorded to benefit Hands & Feet Project: an organization founded by Audio Adrenaline in 2004 with the mission of housing 100 Haitian orphans.

Crazy awesome first single kings and queens! I grew up with audio adrenaline always blaring in my speakers, this is a little different of a sound but I love it! I listened to all the songs and you definitely want to get this album!! It won't disappoint!

Awesome... for a starter

This is awesome, but I think it should be more upbeat. Kevin Max has the best voice in music, but I wish it was in the dc Talk style. Still awesome though

K-Max and Audio A to the rescue of Christian music

Bottom line: hit purchase on the entire album and listen to the entire thing start to finish. Not a bad "filler" song on here. This is in the style of some of the early 90's albums you would see from time to time where not one song waters the album down. I was ready to be let down from the giant expectations I had for this album, but this album delivered. Plenty of tempo changes to include any listener, and just enough rock to keep a rocker happy. Thanks Audio A! Best money I have ever spent on an iTunes album.

With their fusion of rock, rap and funk, Audio Adrenaline emerged as one of the most popular CCM acts of the 1990s. Formed in 1986 on the campus of Kentucky Christian College, the band originally featured lead vocalist Mark Stuart, guitarist Barry Blair, bassist Will McGinnis, keyboardist Bob Herdman, and drummer Brian Hayes. Initially named A-180, they recorded an independent single, "My God," which caught the attention of Forefront Records president Dan Brock, and soon after the label issued Audio...
