Cinematic Masterpiece

This album is right up there on my list of favorites. Much like the first album, each and every member of the band shows exactly what they are put on earth to do... Pure power.. The songs that stick out are, obviously, the ones that have never leeked in previous years. I will go as far as saying, this album is mixed, and produced, 100x better than the stuff you buy in stores today. The energy is extreme. "Oscar and Me" is a great example of how powerful Chris Shinn's voice is. "Perfect Qualities" really displays Dave's range of style... Each song, on their own, expresses Brad and Christopher's (as well as Shinn's) unique style of playing.. It's flawless.. and, I'm not being bias. If I would have never heard of this band, or any of the members, I would feel the same. I could literally walk down the street and hear "Can't Let Us Down" blaring out of someone's vehicle and immediately become hooked... Backed by amazing musicians (and being one himself) Shinn shows his brilliance. Forget riding the fact that the members of the band consist of Pearl Jam and Blind Melon members... This band stands on it's own.. Even though the band was short lived.. they gave use two albums worth of material that can't be duplicated... I'm in debt..

Cinematic Review

"A Catastrophic Imagination Defiles the Limits of Knowledge." Unified Theory continues with an addictive array of hooks and beats. My favorite is "15 Hits."

A revelation

After discovering Unified Theory's Acoustic version of California I had to hear more. And Damn am I impressed! Great Rock, Excellent writing, And Hoon's voice is made for this.

Years Active: '90s, '00s

Comprised of two ex-Blind Melon members, (bassist Brad Smith and guitarist Christopher Thorn), one ex-Pearl Jam member (drummer Dave Krusen), and newcomer Chris Shinn on vocals/guitar, Unified Theory began to take shape in 1998. After a plan to carry on Blind Melon with a new singer and a different name didn't pan out, Smith and Thorn began forming a new band. Thorn came across Shinn after moving to L.A. to scout vocalists, while Krusen proved to be a logical choice since he was already friends with...
