iTunes Review

Brian McKnight is a virtuoso of effortlessly romantic odes to everlasting love and commitment. But on Better, he delivers an ‘80s synth-rock detour in “Can’t Take It"—strutting rhythm guitar blended with warm keyboard hum—and a fiery power ballad on “Just Enough,” where he sips on some liquid courage before asking someone to dance. Of course, this crooner can't stay away from timeless soul ballads completely. Check the summery jazz-pop of “Uh Oh Feeling,” and “Like I Do,” where he pledges to uphold a lifelong relationship over flickering piano.

Where is THE REAL BRIAN MCKNIGHT

Let me first say that I am a DIEHARD Brian Mcknight fan from 1991 when he sang on Donnie Simpsons Thanksgiving Special on Bet with Vanessa Williams and Small Change. I have purchased EVERY album of his, and it pains me to type this review, but this ALBUM STINKS. I bought this album because she said he was going back to the basics, and only 2-3 songs are old school Brian…..Brian used to take you on a musical journey to sadness, happiness, love, hurt, and Joy. Now he takes us on a journey to nowhere. Sadly like a fool I will continue to support Brian because I know he will come back one day and WOW ME again….

wow

I’m a die hard Brian Mac fan totally disappointed

He's back!!!

So I just found out that he had an album coming out next year. I had thought that he had retired and wasn't making any more new albums, so I was thrilled to find out he had a new one coming. I closed the site I was in and hurried to iTunes. I thought it was too early to be here, but sure enough here it was! I usually don't pre-order albums or buy new music at all, but I am going to pre order this one! I mean, it's Brian McKnight! What more could you ask for! Brian is back and he will show all these new "singers" how it's really done, how real r&b is made!

One of the most consistent and versatile adult contemporary R&B artists, Brian McKnight placed ten albums across two decades -- from the early '90s through the early 2010s -- within the Top Ten of Billboard's R&B albums chart. Whether he wrote and produced for himself or collaborated with the likes of Diddy, the Underdogs, and Tim & Bob, he enjoyed moderate commercial success without ever quite becoming a superstar. This, along with a down-to-earth personality and a catalog heavy on mellow material,...
