This Album Is Amazing!

The delivery, the drums, the vocals are all fantastic. This album really gives me a Talking Heads, “Remain in Light” vibe with very meticulous heavy drums but this album also sounds sorta futuristic with the synth effects flying all over the place. The vocals are also great, her voice reminds me bit of Cherie Currie from The Runaways. GT Ultra is really an orgasm for your ears. I highly recommend this album, just keep an open mind when you first listen.

About Guerilla Toss

Combining elements of jazz, noise, no wave, psychedelia, punk, and funk in alternately calming and chaotic ways, Guerilla Toss features the core duo of vocalist Kassie Carlson and drummer Pete Negroponte. Aided by guitarist Arian Shaifee and a cast of bassists, keyboardists, and percussionists, Carlson and Negroponte formed Guerilla Toss in Boston in 2011 and began performing and recording prolifically, issuing releases on labels including Feeding Tube, Spooky Town, and Sludgesicle. The band's self-titled debut album arrived in 2013 on Tzadik, with Gay Disco appearing later that year on NNA Tapes. After releasing a trio of EPs and embarking on a European tour in 2014, Guerilla Toss resurfaced in Brooklyn in 2015 and announced that they had signed to DFA Records. The three-song Flood Dosed EP was their debut for the label, with the full-length Eraser Stargazer arriving in March 2016. The group delivered their second album for DFA, the LSD-inspired GT Ultra, in May 2017. ~ Heather Phares
