Ralph Sharon is Da'Bomb!

I saw Ralph Sharon play with Tony Bennett in the late nineties. Tony gave him plenty of room to show off. Ralph played every imaginable genre with equal finesse. He is obviously a jazz player, but has a total grip on rock and roll, blues, boogie woogie, you name it. Ralph Sharon could hear a few bars of speed metal and positively nail it. He is an absolute delight. I have raved to every musician I know about this guy. Buy everything because you can't go wrong with Ralph Sharon.

Ralph Sharon made his professional debut with Ted Heath in 1946, then moved on to Frank Weir's orchestra before leading his own sextet. He moved to the U.S. in 1953, where he initially worked as an accompanist to Chris Connor. In 1957, he became musical director and pianist for Tony Bennett. He acquired American citizenship in 1958. In 1965, he and Bennett split up, but they got back together in 1979 and played together in the following years....
