Love everything about this album!

I love everything about this album.. it's new and fresh, yet familiar.. I was singing along after hearing it once, and dancing alone in NYC, but feeling like I was in a Parisian disco. Any music that can do all this, is worth 5 stars to me… check it out!!

History Repeats Itself, But This Isn’t Your Father’s Copycat Album

In fact, it’s not a copy cat at all, yet Bishop’s influences in life are firmly on display on this record. Bishop’s album is a huge leap from his previous record, Resistance is Beautiful. For anyone who loves dance music of the late 70s like Abba, then remembers when it was taken over by groups like Blondie & Genesis, then that was taken over by a new British Invasion a la Human League - this is your album. Between layered vocals and chants (Abba), to some mighty fine synth hits (Human League), to the faster rhythms and aggression (Blondie), this album is as diverse as it is solid and focused.

this album is great from start to finish....
Derek sings with feeling all the songs....
All the songs seem very personal to him....
his first album "Resistance is Beautiful" is great......this one "BICYCLING IN QUICKSAND" is perfection, and possibly Derek's most personal work yet.....check it out, and if you get a chance....see him LIVE.....you will not regret it!
