Yipes!!!

Classic YIPES! tunage on this comp! don't be an L7. Pick up 'The Ballad of Roy Orbison' IMMEDIATELY and be carried away back to 1979 all over again. SO GOOD! You know you want to. just CLICK THAT MOUSE. YIPES!!!

If you were even slightly involved in the late 70's Twin Cities punk scene...

this collection was the soundtrack to your life. If you hung out at Duffy's or Jay's Longhorn, these are the bands you danced to. And if you knew there was a lot more to the Minneapolis sound than just Prince and The Time, well, you probably already own this, but the LP's have gone scratchy, haven't they? The Hypstrz, The Suburbs, Curtiss A, The Suicide Commandos and even the Pistons grace this classic compilation. My favorites include Lover Boy, She's Got Sex, and Ailerons O.K.

Wore out 2 of the vinyl albums!

For about 10 years after this came out, this was the requested Party album for most of the 80s in Mpls/St. Paul! The Hypstyrz and the Pistons really brought punk rock alive and proved it could be melodic. Loved seeing most of these bands at The Longhorn. Bad fashion but great music!!
