Great Cash Classics

This album is full of classics from his (in my opinion) best decade, the 50's. Although "Hey Porter," and "Cry, Cry, Cry" are missing, there is "Walk the Line," and his rare obscure one, "There You Go," which is a gem. This was a few months before he switched to RCA, so Sun cashed (no pun intended) in on Johnny Cash's last days. There are a few songs that I don't even know, but all in all, it's a great album. If you're looking for Johnny Cash's all around greatest hits (he has other gems in the 60's, I know) like "Ring of Fire," you may be better off with another album. But if you love those 50's albums, this is the album to get.

Johnny Cash rox my sox

I love johnny cash and he is fifty years older than me! Especially big river. thats a great song.

I can't believe some people are complaining that certain songs aren't on this album. It's an original from the 50's!!! This is American History! We're blessed to have something so precious in the digital form.

He created his own subgenre, falling halfway between the blunt emotional honesty of folk, the rebelliousness of rock & roll, and the world-weariness of country. Cash's career coincided with the birth of rock & roll, and...
