Remaster of a Great Album

Keith’s X-Pensive Winos are a great band and much different than the Stones. As a Stones fan I can appreciate the differences, mostly because I’m a big fan of Keith’s music and vocals, just very raw. The remaster brings back some originals but also some other songs that didn’t make the original cut, they finally have.

Thanks X-Pensive Winos for a great album!

What a great record!

I overlooked this when it was originally released—mostly because it was not a Rolling Stones release. But it sounds great today. It’s got a bit of blues, funk, and rock. Keith’s vocals are very nice; and you can get a a lot of insight into his contributions to the Jagger-Richards songwriting craft based on his deft work here. Very catchy grooves, backing vocals, guitar work, and melodies. It’s massively good.

Stones' solo LPs are notoriously lame efforts, but Talk Is Cheap is a great one.
