I first heard 'Dreaming of an M16' on C.C. Chapmans 'Accident Hash' podcast and I had to have the whole album. Can't wait to hear more from the shapes!!

Makes me nostalgic... that's a GOOD thing !

I like the Shapes so much that I play them every week. In the interest of full disclosure, I should say that they bookend my podcast. But after several weeks of using the music on the show I knew I had to have the whole album. Dreaming of an M16 rocks. Playing Bordeaux in the car actually makes your foot heavier. And Tunnel Vision is the best eighties song of the new century. Buy the whole set and discover New York City's best kept secret !

Get this album!!

Just an FYI... I'm a complete music snob. Get this album. It's got nice, lively, upbeat songs like Bordeaux, Overflow, and Tunnel Vision -- but also songs that are a bit softer like Monochrome. It's the kind of album that you can listen to over and over again and never get tired of. Yay!!

However, that was more than enough to capture the group's uniquely crazed pop-punk sound and place them firmly in the punk hall of fame. The brainchild of singer Seymour Bybuss and bassist Brian Helicopter, the Shapes began life in Leamington Spa, in 1977, as a duo miming goofily along to golden oldies.
