iTunes Review

On their fourth album, Hollywood’s Black Veil Brides eschew their metalcore dirges and emo freakouts in favor of a kind of old-school arena-ready rock. Produced by metal legend Bob Rock (Mötley Crüe, Metallica), the effort’s a hyper-riffed mix of big choruses (“Heart of Fire,” “Drag Me to the Grave”), oddly optimistic and melodic darkness (“Faithless,” “Devil in the Mirror”), and a glorious metal weeper in the guise of a ’80s-styled power ballad (“Goodbye Agony”) that would’ve done Whitesnake proud. Singer Andy Biersack’s tone suggests unironic seriousness, so make no mistake—BVB are hardly backdated.

BVB: A Group Who Never Stops Amazing Me

I was that person who heard one or two of these guy's songs and thought they were just another emo band craze, but after Wretched and Divine I changed my mind INSTANTLY and got myself to see that these guys have talent! When I saw this new album on iTunes I literally let out an Andy Sixx yell to the sky. The few songs they are giving a sneak peak of are amazing and seem to be a mixture of Wretched and Divine and Set The World On Fire (top notch work if I may add on to that). Oh boy, BVB fans, get ready for wave 4 of the frenzy that is Black Veil Brides.

Album has a strong vision!!!

The thing thats great about being a black veil brides fan is the you can count on each album to sound much different from the last. you never feel like you get sold the same album twice. and with this one from the two tracks iv heard from it the vision is much different and unique to this bands image. i look forward to listening to the whole album once it drops on october 27th. rock on people!

Where is the other voices?

Keep in mind this review is before the release of the complete album.

The guitarist are still good like always along with CC (drummer) but Andy has been using this one voice for too many songs now. I wish he would use more voices, after all he is a vocalist and should be able to do other voices such as the one he uses in his earlier works like Knives and Pens and Sweet Blasphemy, I feel that he starting to only use that one voice more and more on the second album, Set The World On Fire. Then on Wretched and Devine and, based on the 2 released songs, this album both only use his one voice.
I miss when he use to sing with more of a clear voice like in Knives and Pens and Perfect Weapon and would like to see and listen to new songs with that type of voice.

Primarily the brainchild of vocalist Andy Biersack (aka Andy Six), the band combines cathartic metalcore/screamo with a dark gothic image to set it apart from its contemporaries.
