Black Keys Jr.

MuteMath is one of my favorite bands of all time. But there is nothing about this track that says "mutemath"… it's simple, groovy, and repeats the same bluesy chorus over and over. What happened to the intensity guys? Chaos, Burden, Plan B, Clipping… hell, even Spotlight all have these intense draw-you-in moments. For the first time in their career, I'm not excited about new MuteMath material. Which is sad. Radiohead went the same route this year.

They never let you down! I remember hearing them say in an interview that their "formula is to be constantly changing the formula"...and that constant creativity and reinvention is always what captivates me!
Fan for life! (Blood Pressure's double meaning is excellent btw)

Sorry, just not digging it.

I really tried to get into these songs, but I just can't. It sounds like bland. And Mutemath never makes bland music. They are just too good at the atmospheric rock to just move completely away from it. I was really hoping they were going to go the direction of the b-side they released, "Forte", but with vocals. The whole self-titled album has some of the best songs I have ever heard. Even Armistice has some really great songs. So far, this just seems like all the other popular rock out there. I already miss Greg.

Singer Paul Meany, formerly of the Christian rock group Earthsuit, was working in New Orleans when he began a long-distance musical correspondence with drummer/programmer Darren King, who was based in Springfield, Missouri.
