iTunes Stepping Their Game Up!

When iTunes decide to put go-go on here, I'm proud of iTunes. Now iTunes need to put all the DC Go-Go bands on here.

About time Chuck is here

It's been a long time coming, but the Godfather of GoGo is back on iTunes. Chuck Brown is one the best live performers ever and has a significant influence on all forms of music over the past 20 or so years. This is an excellent purchase and I recommend to all true music lovers.

Nice...but iTunes needs more Go-Go

This is great! But when I look down the lists of "Chuck's" music on other albums, some of them are covers of songs performed by other Go-Go artists -- which isn't a problem if you KNOW Go-Go. There are a lot of folks out there who will attribute a certain song to Chuck, when it was originally done by Essence or EU. If Chuck is here, then EU, Essence, Trouble and the bands that came along later should be included also, just to keep the history and chronology straight. I had the opportunity to be in the crowds when Go-Go was born and it is unfortunate that it has not gotten "props" as a music genre...folks are missing out!!! We also can't forget the DJs that kept the music flowing between sets, at the clubs, and took Go-Go out into the world -- Funk, DJ Kool, Maniac McCloud and the rest (if I forgot someone, its only because I'm old and my memory isn't so good!!)
