Incredible Singles!

The singles are beautifully composed and I’m very excited for the rest of the album. The only reason I gave a 4/5 rating is because I’m not fond of Aaron using effects on his voice. Other than that, I’m loving the new music.

Experimental but falls flat

This breaks my heart to write a negative review. I’ve loved these guys for well over a decade. This album overall seems like they were trying new things. I’m not against new styles but this didn’t appeal to me. There’s not much rhythm in most of the songs. There was a lot of randomness to the music and vocals alike. They did create a very mysterious atmosphere with the album, which is pretty cool, but it’s not something that’ll keep me coming back to it like all of their other albums.

The best song on here by far is “Night Figures”. One of my favorite songs of all time by them. If the entire album kept more rhythm and melody like that song, it likely would have been one of my favorite Copeland albums. Still love Copeland, but honestly disappointed in how this album turned out.

In the way of Love

Radiant. Soft. Gorgeous. Compiled of dulciloquent, melodic ballads. Listen while awake or asleep.
