Love these guys and their music. So glad this new album has finally hit the streets. Be sure to check out their previous albums as well.

Once again a great piece of work by those guys. Can't wait to see them soon.

The musicianship is top-drawer all the way!

The latin-fusion band 'Roman Street' has released a brand new offering entitled "Bohemia". Which if anything, implies a laid-back lifestyle of hedonistic pursuits. As always, the musicianship is top-drawer all the way, and a great accompaniment for whatever your doing in life. The gypsy-tinged title cut "Bohemia" sets the tone for the entire CD, and is nicely crafted. "Island Time" follows, and breezes-in with an added vocalise tossed into the mix. "Mr. Morris" is a straight-ahead "Smooth Jazz" piece reminding one of Nils, or a Peter White cut. Followed by "Morningside", another easy-on-the-ears downtempo offering. "Minor Swing" conjures-up images of Django Reinhart strumming the 'franco-jazz' he was noted for. The band revisits the latin-standard "Besame Mucho" employing a tango-esque quality to it. I found the atmospheric cut "Serenade" very nicely done with subdued guitar shadings, much like fellow artist Al Marconi uses. The group closes-it out with ". . . Strum" in style much-like fellow artist 'Tierra Negra'. If your like me, you'll want to find your way to 'Roman Street'. Great for fans of: Johannes Linstead, Eric Hansen, Benise, and Jim Stubblefield. A must for fans of these artists, and a great addition to your neo-flamenco library. Recommended.
