The A B & the Sea bug bite, and it feels good

After hearing this band live in the city for the last two years, their sound has progressed incredibly. When they first came out with summer time, feel good songs suzie and yellow hair girl, last year, i was craving to hear more. Then at one of their shows they played these two songs that made my mind starting spinning with tune stuck in my head on repeat. With no way to listen to the songs, except live, i now had to venture to every live show to hear these songs. So this is my warning, when you first listen to bone-dry and down and around, just be prepared to have an perfect summer time song stuck in your head all the way till next summer. The harmonies have increased in ways i thought they could not, probably to the addition of two new band members (one being a keyboardist, Awesome addition) who both complement Koley perfectly. A B & the Sea is one of those bands that sound amazing recorded and just as spectacular live. The energy coming from this band is so pure and true, that if your foot does not start tapping or you start singing out loud, there could be something wrong. All i can say is, what ever mood you are in, what ever age you are, no matter who you are, there is no excuse but to at least check out this band because there is definitely one song that with hook, line and sink you into loving this band

A, B, and the Magic

A, B, and the Sea manage to combine a classic sound with modern undertones, appealing to a broad range of audiences who cannot deny this band's potential. As live performers, the members A, B, and the Sea are amazingly talented in their own ways, yet work together so well they manage to sound better live than recorded, a rare feat among musicians of our time.Their sound is unique, enrapturing, classic, and cheerful; a great addition to any summertime playlist.
A, B, and the Sea have an incredible amount of talent, and I have no doubt fame will strike them soon.
If A, B, and the Sea keep making music, we will be listening.

Favorite find of the year

I really can't tell you how many times I've played this album over and over the past year since I found them. Every song is fantastic and has me singing along. Great melodies and wonderful "beachy" sound. It's almost like a 50's sound with a modern edge. Great combo. I really enjoy this album, almost daily. Just wish they'd produce more like it.

Genre: Pop

Although formed in Wisconsin in early 2008, A B & the Sea relocated several months later to California, a far more appropriate setting for the band’s sunny power pop. Co-founders Koley O'Brien and Joe Spargur settled in San Francisco, where they pieced together a lineup comprised of drummer Troy Lawton, bass player Zak LaVigne, and keyboardist David Hunt. Taking cues from a number of retro pop groups, A B & the Sea focused their efforts on vocal harmonies and summery hooks, and the resulting sound...
