Frank Zappa Does Austin City Limits

The star rating is misleading. I only know the full length "The Idiot Trail" and then I sampled the rest of the songs. But it seems my title says it all. If Frank Zappa had listened to, say, half a dozen artists on the TV program "Austin City Limits" and then decided to filter like-composed songs through his sensibilities I imagine it would end up like this album. I don't really care for most Frank Zappa but some people do. So it's either a real awful mish-mash and collage of styles or it's a brilliant reimagining of the country/alt-rock genre. Whatever it is, it won't be played on the radio.
