Customer Reviews

I was at these shows, and the recordings don't disappoint. Good clear sound which you don't always get on live recordings. If you are fond of the album, this is a must!

This is great!

I can't believe people would rate this album based on its length. The sound is great. The songs are great. The less than 5 star reviews are because these children wish Tom Petty would give them more. Be happy with this. I am.

Why not a full cd concert?

This album will satiate Petty/Mudcrutch fans for the time being. But why not put out a full live cd? With the advent of Itunes and other musical websites, why don't artists capitalize on this and release music more freely? No pun intended. Established bands like Petty/Springsteen/Mellencamp need word of mouth to sell albums. Radio and video no longer play these musicians newer songs. These established bands websites should release concerts, videos, unreleased material on a regular basis. I'm afraid we'll be seeing more known bands getting locked into agreements with Wal Mart, Best Buy,etc. when they release new material.

Popular on the Florida bar circuit, Mudcrutch relocated to L.A. in 1974 and was offered a recording contract from Leon Russell and Denny Cordell's Shelter Records, but the band splintered before any significant recording...
