Album Review

For three seasons now, the music of the Backyardigans has put the kid's show in a class by itself. The stories may target two- to five-year-olds, but the musical savvy and performances of the characters are a delight for children several years older as well. Resplendent in composition and consistently vivacious, the soundtrack CDs that accompany the seasons on DVD proudly bear music director (and former Lounge Lizard) Evan Lurie's trademark mastery of genres and sweeping travels through bygone decades. As they say, "kid tested, mother approved" — and then some.

how cute! i still might be a teenager but i still love watching this!=P

Great for kids and listen"able" for parents

If you are a parent and want your kids to love music, start with this. The Backyardigans are so creative, and the musicians are very inventive. They swipe motives and themes from every genre of music, which gives kids a great variety of musical styles. Great introduction to music, and pure fun to watch the show as well!

The Backyardigans ROCK!

The Backyardigans really do have something in it for everyone. From 2 year olds and up. The songs are really catchy, they're great singers, they're really cute and funny, and there is a wide variety of types of music. They even dance! The Backyardigans introduce different types of music to kids, and expand their musical knowledge and interest. I don't see how anyone can negatively judge the Backyardigans without listening to or watching them. I'm so glad this CD came out!
