I Love Gabriela

Gabriela is great... I love her !!! And yea, Gabriela "I'm feeling it too!"...I love her Brazilian Portuguese songs but I already loved the song Are you feeling it too from a previous recording but the Sexy Ride is a faster jazzy ritmo that is cool to drive with on hot sunny days... Gabriela, don't maky me wait sooo long for the next one... I can't get enough.

A new taste of Bossa Nova

Bossa Nova is often thought of as a dying genre. Like bebop, some see it as a past stage of evolution. Anders successfully challenges this with her debut album on some classic Jobim tunes among others. While the first Bossa recordings in the 60s gave a sense of innocence with non-virtuoso vocalists such as Jobim and Gilberto, Anders gives the genre a new sensual side that fits in well as an evolution of the genre as a whole. She remains faithful to the melodies, and her prominent vocals are able to be heard through the modern arrangement with a much more uptempo rhythm. The repertoire ranges from the the fast Jobim tunes of One Note Samba and Agua de Beber contrasted with slower versions of Earth, Wind, and Fire's September and Fantasia. As a lover of classic and this new Bossa Nova, I hope Anders delves into the genre even more since it has so many more songs to offer.

add other albums

I am a huge fan of hers since 1998 when "wanting" was released. Many people are just starting to hear her music. itunes needs to add her other two albums which are "Ecletica" released in 2003 and "Latina" released in 2004. If you are a fan then you should already have them but if you just discovered her music I suggest you go find it to complete the collection. She also has a song on the "Casino Lights 1999" CD.
