A True Star!

I first discovered Billy the Kid when I stumbled upon her album “Ours” in 2011 and I was instantly hooked. A brilliant songwriter and storyteller with an amazing voice, the album produced several of my favorite songs of the year including “Back in the Sand” and “Us Broken Hearts.”

To be honest, I thought it would be tough for her top that outstanding body of work, but she did just that and more with her new release “Stars, Exploding.”

She teamed up with producer Jamie Candiloro, who has worked with Ryan Adams, another one of my favorite musicians, and what came out of the studio is pure magic.

What struck me (as it did with “Ours”) was how good each song is from beginning to end on each album. There never is an urge to skip a song. It’s great songwriting, brilliant melodies, and simply an incredible voice.

I had the pleasure of catching a show, and Billy was just as good live.

She has more talent than 90% of the artists on the current Billboard 100.

Billy is truly a star in the making, exploding.

Another Phenomenal Album

Billy really is one of the great underrated singer/songwriters out there today. Take one listen to this album and you'll agree. Money very well spent.

Wonderful songs

An absolute treat to listen to. Billy gets better and better with each record.

Fusing the energy and flamboyance of Van Halen with the commercial sensibilities of REO Speedwagon, they...
