15 Songs, 38 Minutes

EDITORS’ NOTES

The world that Palm Beach rapper wifisfuneral inhabits is a weary place, full of traitorous friends, unrequited love, and a desolate sense of melancholy that hangs over everything like a gray cloud. Fortunately, wifi has a way of transforming that sorrow into raw energy, as he does on the sparse piano-and-drums lament “Wya?” (which features a vengeful verse from Ugly God), and the booming, depressive bass rush of “ItTakes2ToTango.”

Parental Advisory: Explicit Lyrics.

Strongest Debut Since Good Kid Maad City

I Know GKMC wasn't Kendricks first record, but it was definitely his first impression to most of the fans he has today. Just like Eminems first album was technically "infinite" but most would consider "Slim Shady LP" to be his first true debut. Either way, this is Wifi's true debut and I don't think it will recieve the appeciation it deserves anytime soon. Confidence, flow, beat selection...this mixtape proves that real rap is still alive in the younger generation.
